DUZCE
Düzce is a young city located in the Western Black Sea region of Turkey, distinguished by its natural beauty and geographical location. Having gained provincial status after the 1999 earthquakes, Düzce possesses a constantly changing urban character due to rapid urbanization processes, transforming settlement structures, and new development areas. Although it has a limited historical fabric, its past structures, which hold a significant place in the city's memory, can be traced through photographs and narratives. Due to both this transformation process and its manageable scale, Düzce offers a suitable pilot area for the implementation of digital cultural heritage studies.
